Myrtle Beach, South Carolina

Not sure about you but I can’t think of a better way to spend with family than at the beach. Myrtle Beach, South Carolina was the perfect place. I don’t usually go to beach resorts during the summer months because of the crowds, the noise and the heat. However, the opportunity came up and who’s gonna say no. Myrtle Beach has over fifty miles of coastline. Beautiful beaches, warm water and thankfully I didn’t see any sharks. If you want to spend time chillazing at a poolside or on the sand with your feet in the water this is the place to be. I split my week between Myrtle Beach and North Myrtle Beach and all points in between. There are a multitude of activities you and your family can partake in from riding on the bright yellow banana boat across the waves, parasailing, swimming or going up in a helicopter. And let’s not forget about shopping. The resort I stayed at had a lazy river. I floated around the crystal clear water and allowed all of my stress to melt away. I can’t tell you how long I stayed in that pool. Ahh, so relaxing. One thing we didn’t do this vacation was spend a lot of money at restaurants. There are thousands to choose from, however, we had a kitchen with all of the amenities from full size refrigerator to dishwasher. I said, “Self, let’s go to the local grocery and get some basic food groups and save some of the money for play activities.” I’m so glad I did because it allowed us to take that helicopter ride I was talking about. I’ve visited Myrtle Beach several times in the past and had never gone on the Sky Wheel. I’m not sure why but I’m thinking the people who were with me had an aversion to being up in the sky several feet above the ground in a little ball being propelled in a circle. Well, it was a priority on this trip. I’m so glad I did. My sister, nephew and two grand children had no fear. You can see for miles. So long story short, if you want a beach getaway where you can find the food, the music, the museums, games, shopping and boardwalk, give Myrtle Beach, South Carolina a try. I’m ninety-nine point nine, nine, nine, percent sure you won’t be disappointed.
